Per architect John Young (from cryptome.org)
on Declan's mailing list this morning,
the WTC used a lattice architecture design
which puts all the weight on the outer shell.
This makes the building very strong
as long as the lattice is intact; however,
once the shell is broken, the outer layer
peels off and the floors inside implode,
which is what we saw happen. Twice.
