My question to all those calling these people who commited this act evil is where does that leave the American government who dropped Napalm bombs all over Vietnam in the 60's and 70's? Most of the bombs dropped where not dropped on military installations but on farmland and forest where many innocent men, women, and children died?
Where does that leave us when Americans think we should go into every country in the world and "Kick Ass" but expect that nothing should be done to us? Is this not a wake up call to us that our foreign policies may no longer be acceptable to much of the world?
How many foreign governments are condemning the acts in public but saying 'bout time in private?
We cannot cry out for revenge. We must spread peace. So, brother, I agree with your comments!
Amen, brother. Since the beginning of this country we have made and broken dictators and guerilla groups. WE the US created our problems in the Middle East. We the people actually have no idea what the CIA is doing in foreign countries and we finance militant and terrorist groups ourselves.
We have allowed service men to go overseas and rape and mutilate and murder in the name of the US. And, have allowed them commit crimes overseas without being accountable to the foreign governments on whose grounds the crimes were committed.
If you all out there who believe the US is innocent or has clean hands, you need a very good history lesson. We are not clean. We are not always the cowboy good guys. We even put Fidel Castro in power in Cuba, but consider him one of the most evil men on the face of the Earth.
The important thing to remember here is that people have suffered and died because of US foreign policy. We must work toward peace and since our government probably won't do that we as the people of the US should promote peace in our thoughts and words and deeds.
