i play grand theft auto 3 quite often and i don't go around car-jacking and murdering old women with louisville sluggers.
i've played violent videogames since i was 10. i am 15 now. i've never commited a crime or some sort of outrageous violent act. some of these congressmen need to focus on more important issues than this, like how we are losing our rights and are fighting a pointless war.
seriously people. this is blowing this way out of proportion. there are other things we should be focusing on. there are were more problems with this kid that should've been taken care of, namely his mental dysfunctions. everquest, or any game, DOES NOT cause people to kill others or themselves. stop using the media as a scapegoat when we have to face up to the facts that these people have been cast out or ignored by society. I go to a school which fell victim to a shooting many years before I went there. The person who committed the shooting had serious mental problems and was ignored and cast aside by the students and the faculty, who hoped that he would just go away. that's exactly what this mother did, hoped that the problem would just, go away. and didn't care enough about her son to get him real help. people like this sicken me.
Pfft...i knew this was going to happen sooner or later. and don't lie to us/., its not about increased advertiser demand, its about you needing more cash.
Its also wonderful that you disabled anonymous posting, so people who have something negative to say about mods, or/. in general won't be able to hide from their karma being killed or being $tblr'd (is what its called? i cannot remember).
is it me or are we seeing history repeated? microsoft gaining the upper hand against the superior platform?
think of palm as apple, and you see a very similar situation. hopefully this move will make palm more competitive against MS.
that is the best idea i've heard in a long time, regarding this RIAA vs. everyone crap.
one problem though, it would be a real pain to have to go from universal's site to sony's site etc. to get the songs you want. put them together, and you create a monopoly.
why don't they?
they wont have a well-known company to distribute/advertise/etc. for them. no matter how anti-riaa you are, it still comes down to selling cd's.
you don't have to purchase a different copy for each comp. it's called not registering. even if you wanna play quake3 over a home lan or something, you can just copy the cd. i believe thats legal as long as you don't sell the copy.
i'd hate to see this happen. i must admit that such attacks by crackers are bad, and i'd be very po'd and want that person punished if they attacked me, i wouldn't want them to rot in prison for the rest of their lives. this is wrong. pure and simple.
have you ever visited cybertown.com? it's a perfect example of what vrml can do if done right. it's no quake, but along the lines of interactivity and entertainment, it's much better than yahoo or irc.

i have one of these things, got it as a gift when they first came out. i think its sitting in my closet. anyway.
are there other programs/mods/whatever that are available for these things? looking at bugs will only amuse oneself for a little bit.
I play tennis, and I find that a titanium racket is much easier to play with than a traditional racket.

the lawsuits fly!
ah, this'll make my next PC purchase much easier. saves me a lot of trouble.

is it me, or is AOL/TimeWarner becoming microsoft's new worst enemy?
slowly but surely...
i may dispise AOL, but i hate microsoft much, much more.

people do causually go "I wanna use linux". many people i know are sick of windows because:
a)it can't run for more than 3 hours w/out freezing, crashing, etc.
b)it preforms a simple task in an increadibly complex way.
c)it hogs the "motherf***'n" ram.
i find linux, and the BlackBox desktop specifically, much easier to use and much cleaner than windows.
