Every time I think a product is really cool it fails, and if I think it sucks it ends up dominating the market...

The only one I see in regular use is the Model View Controller pattern. This is used pretty heavily (at least in the early phases of the project) by many larger java appserver based web projects.
One of the problems that happens with real world projects, is scope creep. As the project outgrows the original requirements, programmers are more likely to hack outside of the architecture originally laid out. As a result many patterns that are laid out at the beginning of a project are poorly (or not at all) used by the end of the project.
You *can* use XML/XSLT with php, but without the ability to cache your parsed xml objects, perf can suffer greatly.

Ok, perhaps I shouldn't have been so specific.
I often forget that my immediate circle of friends and family are not even close to being representative of the rest of the country. Because of this I am often shocked and amazed by the behavior and beliefs of my fellow Americans.
Anyway, take a look around. This country is full of slobbering mindless consumer bots. Just because most people in your immediate circle have their heads screwed on tight, doesn't change this fact.
Asking the question is not illegal, but passing classified information to the press is *treason*.
The press shouldn't be restrained, any government official found leaking classified information should be prosecuted.

It's pretty easy to forget that your family and friends may not be representative of the country as a whole.
How many folks in your sample are republicans, how many are evangelical, and how many of them don't have a college education?
There are a shit load of ignorant, flag waving pissants in this country... I should know, I live in Texas:)
Sure, but all you have to do is disable html emails, and you could edit a url to remove any identifying info (with the exception of IP and such that is passed along with an HTTP request) from it.
It seems that as long as most email delivery confirmation systems require the receiver to be using (or have enabled) optional features in their email app, then email delivery of legal documents just won't work.

Quite usefull when attached to network monitoring tools...
could be a nightmare if spammers get ahold of that email address (which can be your number@sprintpcs.com)

You forgot my favorite.. "Salsa Sauce" or sauce sauce :)
check out this Book by Calib Carr.
It lays out the clearest definition "terrorism" that I've read yet. -T
It is the use of force, or threat of force against a civilian population for political or social objectives.
The second half is amazing, and not nearly as knee jerk reactionary as the majority of the people that have posted.
I could see wireless ISPs spring up around this idea... Buy a couple of T1s then plug them into these wireless boxes instead of modems.

oh hell... first post.. what about ring around the collar...
Actually up until very recently they did have the Direct Marketer's Association on their side...
Not an insignificant lobby. -T
Started thinking that you could parallelize these babies through the RS232 port and have one hell of cluster for around $100...

I believe there's a level cap on the single player game at around 10th level.
Or perhaps it could even be used to help the credit card industry track down dead beat card holders and collect the debt...
