I suffered from severe panic attacks / anxiety disorder before going on the Efexor AD. Boy did that drug work for me. From basically thinking that I would have to spend the rest of my life at home sedated by Sobril and the like I am now a functioning member of society. I take care of my son and have a good job and I can handle most anything life throws at me. I tried going off the drug half a year ago. That was a wierd experience. I first started noticing it when I would get random "electric jolts" going through my body. Then the panic attacks returned (for me its the caveman fight-flee reflex firing off for no reason). I am very happy to be back on the drug.
Oh yeah, and I went to cognitive therapy, but the drugs are far more effective.
