    To start with Hobby lobby was NOT against contraceptives, and offered it to their employees. They were against 'after the fact' options. Like "plan B".

    Avoiding the truth was a plan to harass and go after them using media bias, much like Chick-fil-A was attacked.

    1 - Most of what i saw was not free.
    2 - Why should my want of 'freeness' supersede the poor sap that buys my used books? Books that now have a reduced value. ( both due to it being tied to me, and that i have defaced a piece of literature )

    Assuming no other copy of 'your' book exists, its not piracy, any more than the library is.

    Now, perhaps if you cant guarantee there are no other copies, i suppose they could say something, but that should be on the seller to be complaint, not this company.

    Sure they are. But this has nothing to with DRM or free books. its just nature, and we ARE evil to the core.

    Get an unlocked phone that has a sim socket.. Buy prepay sim cards off the shelf.. at anything from a drugstore, grocery to a kiosk at the mall. I have even seen them at gas stations lately..

    All done. ( for the US anyway, i assume Canada has stores that sell them too )

    And if you want to be really fancy, get one of those multi-band dual socket china phones. ( i have one, it can do both at&T/t-mobile style GSM and Verizon CDMA.... *at the same time* even... )

    As a matter of fact, for the last 15+ years we have been offshoring much of our high tech manufacturing -

    its not due to us not being able to, its due to economics. Due to a lot of factors, its simply cheaper to have it manufactured elsewhere now. We used to do it here.

    Also, who is designing the stuff that we are having off-shore companies build for us? Hint: we are. Thus the technical know-how isn't gone, nor is the knowledge.

    And sure, to get back into the manufacturing business would take a lot of capital overhead, and time to get it built and ramp up, but we could if we needed to.
