What amazes me is what a good job they did in selecting the themes for the various cultures in Middle Earth. The drum-and-chant for Moria was especially gripping. The music adds a lot to the interpretation of the story as well. The theme for Rohan changed my view of their culture entirely from what I read in Tolkein.
Actually, there were several meanderings from the text of the book in Two Towers. Just look at what they did to Faramir. I'm actually interested in seeing what they do different from the text to make the movie stand out as a separate work.
Do you think that Weta may develop into the powerhouse that Lucas Lights and Magic has become? It's refreshing to have effects that combine computer animation with the more traditional photography effects.
Ever notice that the fact that Microsoft has such a large share of the market causes security exploits to be a global concern? In a competative market there would be a number of different OSs available with different means for arriving at certain standards. An exploit of one OS wouldn't necessarily mean impending doom for the buisness world as a whole. There's the whole issue of compatability, but I think some diversity would help.
Thanks to the Wachowskis rather brilliant blending of pop culture, Campbell, Jung, Christianity... Make that Gnosticism.
One for the laptop, one for me ...

Can you imagine trying to take out a group of Harikrishnas? They would probably clobber you.
