I'd imagine it's more of a snowball effect, geeks will move to wherever other geeks are, and where all the companies are. There's little more to it than that.
Solar panels are probably cheaper and require less maintenance. A nuclear power plant is only one mistake away from destroying an entire region, and requires a volatile fuel shipped from across the world.
And at the end of a life cycle, I think that taking down solar panels is easier than spending billions decommissioning nuclear power plants.
Technically, all property is a government-granted monopoly over something, real or otherwise. And when someone infringes Microsoft's copyright, they have to pay the costs of legal action themselves.
What confused me most about Vanguard is why the graphics were so much worse than other MMOs, but the performance worse as well. I thought it was supposed to be inversely proportional, i.e. when you turn the graphics up the framerate goes down, these developers have managed to make it work the other way.
I was getting maybe 5 fps in the bland, completely detail-less starting area with buildings popping up ten yards in front of me. What the fuck? And the first-person perspective meant when I was killing tiny chickens they were off the bottom of my screen. This game is a joke.
On the other hand, if you grow up on a farm eating high-quality produce, you may also think that an over-complicated meal at a high-end restaurant is terrible, even if for different reasons.
In my opinion, if music is good enough it'll transcend it's medium and level of audio quality. Like that scene in the Shawshank Redemption for instance.
The crime rate isn't any higher than before guns were banned. And if guns prevented crime, why is America's murder rate so high? Interesting to see how many gun nuts have mod points though.
Between their overall human rights abuses combined with their continued occupation and suppression of Tibet, now is the best time to wean yourself from the Chinese teat.
Ok then, how do I shop to wean myself off American products in protest against Guantanamo Bay, the oppression of Iraq, Cuba and Afghanistan, the persecution of their own poor and minorities, their terrible working conditions and employment law that favours corporations over the workers etc. etc. etc. ?
China has conquered Tibet. The US has conquered Hawaii, Alaska, as well as the whole mainland United States from various nations. And that's just historically. Since then, the US has waged war on well over a dozen nations, whilst China hasn't touched anyone.
It's comments like this that prove how PC gaming is on a decline. Otherwise, it's proponents wouldn't be so sensitive and bitchy about anything that threatens the PCs homogeny over certain genres. These sorts of comments are like what we saw written about the original Halo. I'm sure the whining of 'you cant play fps/rts without a keyboard and mouse wtfbbq' are generally drowned out by the ringing of millions of tills.
Btw the parent comment is a lot funnier when you read it in a comic book guy voice.
The UK system works now? I thought we had a tyrannical unchecked government elected with 35% of the vote.

It's not an MMO, which is all PC gamers want to play nowadays, so why would they bother porting it?
Yeah if there's one thing bikers are famous for, it's riding sensibly and slowly, never, ever breaking the speed limits.
I'm pretty sure driving uninsured is already against the law, it's just not enforced very well.
Without government, who says that your property belongs to you?
My system plays other, better-looking games fine, it's just Vanguard that chokes. Why should a game with no graphics have such poor performance?
Technically, all property is a government-granted monopoly over something, real or otherwise. And when someone infringes Microsoft's copyright, they have to pay the costs of legal action themselves.
I'd imagine that Microsoft and their employees pay far more than their fair share of taxes, why shouldn't they get something back?
So if tax evasion is legal, why does anyone bother paying any taxes?

Somehow I doubt WoW addicts will have the suitable physical characteristics to run a successful mob.
Most of the dungeons in WoW are instanced, and you never really interact with anyone outside your group or guild anyway so what's the difference?
On the other hand, if you grow up on a farm eating high-quality produce, you may also think that an over-complicated meal at a high-end restaurant is terrible, even if for different reasons.

This is Britain, that's all we eat anyway.

Actually I think this sort of thing has been going on since governments were invented.
When you hear about knife crime being down, bear in mind that the government have been caught fiddling the numbers to make themselves look better.

I didn't think they still made Ron Paul Internet Nutjobs.
If Kim Jong Il had so much as a tenth of Bush's military strength, he wouldn't have stopped at invading two countries.
You're not supposed to archive data on optical disks anyway.
