What is even more disturbing than Furher Ashcroft and Commander Bush's military tribunals is the placid complicity of the American people in the destruction of our freedoms.
In the Washington Post today, it said that nearly 60% of people support military tribunals for SUSPECTED terrorists (i.e. racially profiled picks by Uncle Sam) and 73% support the legality of wiretaps that violate lawyer-client privilege. If you can't talk to your lawyer, how the hell can you have a fair trial? Oh wait, it don't matter, because you're in military court!

I'm certainly in agreement that this bill is a mistake. All those fundamentalist nutcases just got the vote they wanted. If you want an opportunity to tell Russ Feingold how much you appreciate (or not) his lone principled stand for the rights and freedoms of the American people, send him an e-mail through his Senate webpage:
Altavista was a slick search engine intil that stupid X10 camera ad campaign. I switched to google just to avoid that. I like it better now, anyway, because it's faster and is more relevant, but (as many others have said), I definitely miss "exact phrase" searches +including and -excluding specific words.
