You admit to using MS products more than your beloved linux, so what's the problem?
the problem is like when ms pulls stunts like it did with zone. Noone i know in the zone likes it but we will accept it for lack of a (serious) alternative, lazyness and that all we know is sone, so everyone is there. thats why.
and please dont say my beloved ms products again. I just ate.
Now, I realise that there is always the option of simply not using M$ products, but what about all those other people out there who aren't as "enlightened"? To them, Windows is the computer, not simply an OS.
Simply not using MS products is not that simple.
I recently (les than a year) have attempted to rid myself of MS products but it is close to impossible. I do not use hotmail, nor am i going to get an xbox, but my attempt to move to linux has tapered somewhat. I now dual/triple boot but find myself logging into winME (be quiet) more than redhat or connectiva. I am also a avid Rogue Spear player, and have many friends who I know soley over the ZONE. Of course you know now i needed to get a passportpassport account for that and i lasted a whole 2 days before I signed up for one (by the way, if you want to email me at my new email adderes for.net i am at forthisidespise@myself.com)
IE is also the browser with it all (not excluding gaping security holes), and my frequent tries at opera and netscape (i use mozilla now when not on IE) have always ended up useless becuase of one plugin or support feature that was not there.
And I work in a PCLAN, emagine how difficult it would be to swap a more clueless user to not usint any of tio bill's products

According to Slemko, the fact that he needed just half an hour to cook up a way to exploit Passport's security flaws indicates that Microsoft is not fit to run a service with Passport's ambitions.

You are right. If something comes up its always targeted to a simplified cause that we can all shake our heads and denounce (oh, it was religeous fanatacism/they wanted attention/etc), instead of the multitude of issues that are clearly lying on the table.
MSDOS is not dead! I will not believe it! Sure, I have not used it in a while, but it has been my best friend when later forms of microsoft mischeif has sprung up on me. (even after feeding the command prompt with "ls"'s and chmod commands) Actually, I still use the format c:/u often!

I think you have just been fooled. Noone in their right mind would think that because the death count for this year has risen slightly, we should all go live in bomb shelters UNLESS you personally have been affected, in which case I am genuinely sorry and my heart goes out to you. I mourn any death, if its in NYC or Istanbul is only a matter of location, not value. For the millions of others around the world dying and dead I also feel sympathy for, and for those who value a symbol of America over the thousands of dead destroyed at the same time I say: Go to hell. I know i am going to be modded offtopic and that i was tricked to writing this rant, but my worthless message here is to say that Yes this sucks, but lets get on with our lives BECAUSE WE HAVE TO, not because that not what the terrorists want or that the deceased want or any other rationalization. End Rant.
