Why in the world would you apply to schools you can't afford to attend?
I was a National Merit Scholar, but I only applied to schools that offered me a full ride (three schools - none of them prestigious). My parents had made it clear that if my going to college would require them to pay a single dime, I wouldn't be going.
If they released two versions of the game - one that could only play on a single console - and another that could be for the rental market (plays on any console), they could charge far more money for the second one. Like they used to for VHS tapes back when they didn't sell them in retail. They were only selling them to rental shops and they charged $70 per tape.
Computer Literacy was a cool chain of technical book stores around the silicon valley. They used to have one on the Apple campus. I don't know if it is still there anymore.

No it means:
1. I saw a bug one time that sounds similar AND 2. Someone made some changes to that general area of the code SO 3. I'm gonna call it fixed until proven otherwise.
Don't buy it then. Or wait until the price goes down which is probably 6 months?
If you are more patient, you can buy your games really cheap. Just play games that are a few years old. You actually get to play better games because you can tell from reviews which ones were good and which were junk. You can probably buy a PS2 for less than $100 now and the games are cheap and people can tell you which ones are worth playing.
The PS2 does play DVDs, but there are some issues with it. For one thing, we had this problem where if anyone messed with the controls while watching a movie, the movie had to be started over from the beginning. That's probably because we couldn't understand how to use it correctly and we were trying to use the dual shock controller to play movies. However, I shouldn't have to be a rocket surgeon in order to play a freaking movie on the PS2.
My wife and I are due to have another baby in October. We never eat at McDonalds and we no longer have a television. So, my guess is that Lucy (that's her name) will not recognize McDonalds by age 3. But we will see.
I've been a Mac user for fifteen years. Every time I buy a new machine, I upgrade the RAM myself. If it is a personal machine, I max out the RAM. I have never paid Apple to do this.
G4 PowerBooks were dog slow until the day they announced the MacTels. And please don't accuse me of trolling when Apple themselves is now claiming a 5x increase in speed!
Yes, because as chips get faster in the future, we realize that we were total chumps for buying such slow, expensive chips in the past. You had an Apple II? What a chump you were for paying so much money for a slow old 6502 processor. You had a 80486 PC? You should have just waited for the Core Duo!

Actually, I live in the area and I know the math teacher in question. I can state unequivocally that he is, in fact, an XYZ.
there's no way this is true.
I guarentee that I could design a piece of hardware/software that will lock a DVD based piece of software so that it can be played on that unit only.

I still use my Atari 2600, the ORIGINAL console
It might be your original console, but the Fairchild Channel F came out before the 2600 and was the first cartridge based home video game console.

I for one would like to welcome our new free wireless overlords. May death come quickly to their enemies!
It doens't seem to be working very well.

Buy yourself a PS3 in 2010.

So, it was far easier just to buy a DVD player.
Decafinated coffee makes as much sense as dehydrated water.
I sure hate it when people can't spell ridiculous. Or believe the "moon landing" actually happened.
Windows suck dick. Microsoft has yet to admit it. Film at 11.
Those who can't prove their argument often resort to name calling. It shows they have a weak argument.
Why was it possible to go to the moon in '69 but not possible now even using the same old technology? Has the moon/earth/atmostphere/space changed?
Because it was faked in 1969 - which doesn't explain why they can't just fake it again. Perhaps people are more used to CGI now?
People realise it was a fake and won't agree to spend the money on faking it again?
Because they had to murder Gus Crissom to keep him from exposing the truth and they think they might not be able to keep it covered up this time?
BTW - this is NOT a troll. Just because you disagree with someone doesn't make them a troll.

Just like it is easy to write a program that can calculate sin
I must have missed that one on the shelf at Fry's. Is there an Open Source version?
I hate to burst your bubble, but Babies sleep a lot of the time. Certainly more than zero percent.
Can the parents skirt the issue by having signs posted around the house saying "video and audio of this room is recorded between xam and ypm.
Clearly, the courts will say this experiment is legal based solely on the presence of such signs in the baby's room.
These same people were watergate criminals.

I heard a crazy rumor that watching the Spongebob TV show is entertaining, but I don't believe it for a minute.
Evil? Why are they evil? Have they killed countless millions of people?
Yes.
Have they disenfranchised an entire population and brought them under a brutal dictatorship?
Yes.
Have they done scientific experiments on unwilling human-beings?
Yes.
Have they enslaved millions of people to do their bidding in extremely harsh and abusive environments?
Yes.
Have they ever attempted ethnic cleansing?
Yes.
