What is this, a new generation of geeks ragging on TNG or something? I thought all geeks loved TNG like me. You can excuse a few cheesy lines for interesting stories and a wonderful escape from the real world. And I love the holodeck episodes too.
TNG was great, too bad it's not on broadcast anymore (yes, I am one of the few with a cable modem and no cable TV). Voyager starts to grow on you after about the 3rd (?) season. It was Voyager's holodeck going awry that sometimes got annoying.
Will I buy TNG on DVD? Maybe if I get a DVD player first. But before I do that I'll have to get a CD player for the car...
Yes! The more the better. Especially if it's faster than a 66Mhz and has more then 8MB of ram. Most of my PCs don't qualify (1 8088, 1 Apple//c, 1 KayPro II, 6 486s in various stages of repair, 1 Mac LC, 1 Pentium 166, one Pentium 166 laptop, and 1 K6-2 500). For my wish list: a motherboard and processor (that runs at 1Ghz or more), a good video card (none of that built in stuff I made the mistake of getting) and lost of memory. A real ATX case would be nice too (Mine is an AT case with an ATX power supply and a mobo that can do either) Since I'm on a roll, a troubleshooting/repair manual for the PS1s I got at a yard sale, the lates mindstorms kit, a CD player for the car (actually I think I need a new car first), a good keyboard (I learned the hard way not to keep drinks in front of them) adn a CB antenna that wont fall over when I'm on the highway and a gust of wind catches the little walmart zorro on the top (it's the only way of finding the car in a parking lot, even if I know where I parked). And maybe santa could organize all my junk...
Ok, thats enough for now. Oh yeah, a spell checker

Don't forget The Cuckoo's Egg by Cliff Stoll. I could use a new copy, I've just about worn out the one I have. Not that I have time to read anymore...
