I watch DVDs all the time and find it annoying that Linux doesn't have decent DVD playback. Hmmm maybe I should help write one... I watch dvds on Linux with no problems. Make sure you have udma enabled on your HD(it improves the speed *a lot*): #hdparm -d1 /dev/xxx Do some fine tunning with -X option of hdparm too and use a good player (I use ogle ).
Our premier developer Rhys Weatherly has contributed 254,423 lines written since Jan 1, 2001. Which amounts to about 5000 lines per week which is phenomenal for any programmer. It's amazing what a man can do with copy & paste...
