I never understood the insurance on a package, UPS or FedEX. It's almost like ransom. I pay you to deliver my package and on top of that, I have to pay a premium to make sure it arrives safely and never on-time? That is just total BS. I feel like I'm dealing with delivery services ran by the Sopranos.
I think it's more of a mistake that he shipped it with UPS. Not the fact that he didn't buy insurance.
My company has had several thousand dollars worth of damage cause by UPS. Not to mention all the unhappy customers that gets the broken boxes and call back to complain.
Is UPS doing anything about it? Of course not.
