But what about its physical size? I mean, when you are dealing with monstrous astro-physical phenoms beyond human comprehension, isn't it important to be boggled by the density?
What ever happened to the idea that sleep was for rest. Really, what is wrong with a nice dark quiet room and comfortable pillows. I think that we have this desire to improve upon everything with connectivity and content.
You have to remember that in the good _very_ old days, sleeping on a straw mattress thrown over a netting of rope was an improvement over the cold damp ground. Now we sell "sleep systems".
Don't get me wrong, I _CAN_ see the value of a little bedroom entertainment to spice up the relations, but when I'm done, I want to shut it off and sleep in quiet, dark silence.
Research funded by grants and government funding should be open. I'm all for capitalism, but if the public is going to "invest" in these schools and consistantly get nothing in return, we're getting fleeced.
As the article states, very few of these properties are lucrative and it's like the administrators are holding on to a free lottery ticket. I won't pay for my own gambling, let alone someone elses.
If this technology is superior, it won't take long before the material is rolled into a cylinder, much like the dielectric sandwich in capacitors, and inserted into tubes to match standard cell formats.
However, I agree that it is more probable that we will never see the power/weight ratio approach existing technologies. What we really need is specifications on thickness and durability, which will be more relevant to the applications that may require this cell.
Well, I can agree with your arguements. And I can easily see their foundation (the truth). But before I grab a torch and pitchfork to storm the castle, I must admit that I make mistakes at work, my full time, paid job. And I don't think that an oversight rises to the level of "pathetic." As I suggested, we move on. However, your passion is more likely to invoke a response from the/. administrators.
to quote the FAQ: These are just mistakes on the part of the staff. They happen. We have posted over ten thousand stories in our history. The occasional duplicate is inevitable.
Ok. But the EULA governs the puchase of the license. I apologize if I wasn't clear. Still, http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=24100&cid=2607 676, the "Sony Licenses.." parody mentions:
The TV can be re-initialized up to four times, after which it needs to be returned to Sony for repair.
I heard a nasty rumor that the number of activations per EULA is 5. After that the license (sp?) would be invalid...
Was someome blowing smoke in my sometimes gullible direction?

I agree with you completely!
Therefor, I declare my authority to levy taxes against you. Please submit to me a 1040 along with a recent pay stub.
And since your expectations are so low, you can expect _ABSOLUTELY_ nothing in return.
(I prefer cash.)

At roughly $22 for the equivalent power of a AA, I doubt that they will add these to anything that doesn't absolutely require them.
Agreed.
And yes, that was comma-riffic.

I'm missing the point as well. Even with the release of XP, M$ won't part with their 95, 98, Me, or 2000 licenses for any less. Or will they?
I'm so glad we protect your right to make an ass of yourself.
