I wouldn't say that centimeters are a school thing; the unit is very commonly used at least in Finland. For example when talking about a person's length, or anything else where a centimeter accuracy is suitable. Decimeters are probably not used at all beyond school though. Deciliters are very common for volume measurements, though.
Yes, one who is mega-rich might rather pay up for comfort, but I'd think this TV might also be interesting for a home theater aficionado, who makes maybe "only" somewhere between 100k to 200k a year. For this person, the 40k difference might still be rather huge, and he will most probably be prepared to complicate things a little if he can save tens of thousands (even after he's paid for shipping and handling).
Of course, since the price will likely fall a lot in the relatively near future, mr $150k/year might just wait a bit.
I saw a Panasonic 103" 1080P TV when I was in Japan in the end of March. According to the price tag it was named TH-103PZ600, and cost 5,600,000 Yen, which would be about 47000 USD.
I have a photo of the price tag right here if you want to look for yourself.
With that kind of outrageous difference in price, I'd go get it from Japan if I were in the market for that TV.
Arm the plane!
You could hide remote controlled gun turrets in the plane's ceiling. Then ground control could have a go at the hijackers. Add some strong flashes to blind the suspects and you've got a nice system.;-)
So, any freeware program written exclsively for windows is not free then?
I don't agree with that. Simply because they choose to make their software only for one commercial OS doesn't mean that the software isn't free.
I agree completely with the parent poster. Also think of movies, there is no possible way the big budget movies of today could be done in weekends... They couldn't get enough money from merely showing it in theatres either, because without IP, what would stop the theatres from reselling the movie cheaper to other companies/theatres etc.
Today's world without IP would be crap IMHO.

"Skynet begins to learn, at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. eastern time, August 29. In a panic, they try to pull the plug.."
They aren't necessarily assholes for deleting warez from google's servers and pissing pirates off though.
