Last time I checked (about 2 weeks ago) the exportation from the U.S. of powerful encryption software was ILLEGAL. This is exactly why software such as PGP has to be printed out in source-code form and exported that way.
Your quite wrong actually. Apple was worth around $9 a share in early '98. In early 2000 Apple's share price shot up to over $70 a share. Where is it today? $25 dollars a share, after a huge drop in December of 2001. Although they still have more value then in '98, after a $50 drop in December, I don't think that Apple has "increased tremendously over the last five year." Don't think I'm forcasing a bad future for Apple however, I happen to own shares of Apple myself.
I don't know if anyone noticed this, but it looks like Microsoft is writing reports with TeX and pdfTeX. (Look at the PDF's properties.) Anyone see the irony here?
>> They hired you knowing full well what your age >> was
Employers are not allowed by law to consider the hiring of a person based on age (or sex, religion, race or sexual preference for that matter). Although there are other reasons you mention that may cause his firing, the original author stated that age discrimination seemed to be the problem, and most likely, it is.

Since when does it require to post only factual and non-editoral, non-opinionated press to be "taken seriously"?

Can you imagine all the licensing fees?
