The problem isn't that Verisign has incorrect data. The problem is that they "agreed to take reasonable steps to investigate and correct its Whois data in response to any reported inaccuracy" and have not done so. It is that they KNOW they have incorrect data and haven't corrected it.
I used this book in college for learning assembly. Still have it on the shelf. I was doing some work on FAT and partition tables recently and was able to quickly get the information I needed from this book. It wasn't in depth, but I didn't read more than two pages before I was on my way. Wish it was that easy back in the college days!
So what if you can detect when a rogue has connected to your wireless network. A passive data gatherer connected to your wireless network can often times gain enough information to connect to your network externally (Internet, VPN, etc). So just knowing that noone is actively using your wireless network doesn't mean that noone is hacking your network because of your wireless network.
Experience tells me that the dumb phone systems are usually smarter than the person I would end up speaking to anyway.
