  1. Smarter machines on The Return Of The Live Human Being · · Score: 4, Funny

Experience tells me that the dumb phone systems are usually smarter than the person I would end up speaking to anyway.

  2. Missing the point on VeriSign DNS in Trouble · · Score: 2, Insightful

The problem isn't that Verisign has incorrect data. The problem is that they "agreed to take reasonable steps to investigate and correct its Whois data in response to any reported inaccuracy" and have not done so. It is that they KNOW they have incorrect data and haven't corrected it.

  3. Description of the FAT on Assembly Language for Intel-Based Computers, 4th edition · · Score: 2, Interesting

I used this book in college for learning assembly. Still have it on the shelf. I was doing some work on FAT and partition tables recently and was able to quickly get the information I needed from this book. It wasn't in depth, but I didn't read more than two pages before I was on my way. Wish it was that easy back in the college days!

  4. Not a complete solution on Detecting Wireless LAN Users · · Score: 4, Insightful

So just knowing that noone is actively using your wireless network doesn't mean that noone is hacking your network because of your wireless network.
