could it be they are just doing this to put the space program in limbo to save on money? They have some pretty expensive stuff to pay for these days. Iraq, war on terroism, weapon programs, etc...

I don't think lawyers needed to be educated, it is supposed to be broad. the broader the damn law the more they can say what is covered or not covered by a law. This is a growing trend in alot of new laws that are being passed in the US. A broad law allows a company to save their own asses when shit hits the fan or come down on people when the law does not really apply to them.
What bothers me is this guy could have faced more jail time than some rapist and murderers, If they didn't like what he did all they had to do was fire him. This seems like the work of a blood sucking lawyer. He should erased all the computers and installed linux, that would would have sent them into a bender.
