  2. Finn was a fine character but there was a rather unnecessary alteration on the discretion of J. J. Abrams, which ruined the character for many.

  3. Probably not slashdot, but rather some odious cultural terraforming operation or other. Either that, or useful idiots of some stripe or other.

  4. Rogue One was great. The Force Awakens, not so much. I fear what J J Abrams is doing to the franchise. There are so many great stories in the numerous Star Wars novels, e.g. Timothy Zahn, The Truce at Bakura, all the books with Luke's Jedi Temple, Jacen & Jaina Solo, Mara Jade, Grand Admiral Thrawn, etc.!, http://www.yodasdatapad.com/bo... is a great resource to start with. I was also less than charmed by the snap-decision Abrams made re: the Finn character; he ought to have left the character as-is.

It would better suit the interests of all involved had there been efforts to foster discussion & mediate this madness rather than making a martyr of the author of the Google Memo (or "Manifesto", if you will) & fanning the flames of what is an already bellicose conflagration of acerbic, emotion-driven, divisive issue.

Stay armed, &/V ready to defend yourself; it's a useful strategy in all circumstances, regardless of concern for a "marginal individual" looking to divest you from your liquid assets (in which case "iPhone cultists lose this round"*)

I'd say that those falling for the spook of "zomg muggers after muh cash" are missing the greater dangers (or, "dangers") of the transition to "all-electronic"/cashless transaction ecology. I'd imagine most of those who lack foresight/wisdom regarding this matter may also be of mindsets which contribute to the problem of said muggers/indigents/what-have-you.

Imagine being such an idiot that you promote the destruction of any meaningful liberties you & those like you in the future (for those who can't, or won't, have offspring that they'd be concerned about) could possibly enjoy, even depend upon.

You can fall asleep & wake up still in that oh-so-desirable mindspace. DOI has been shown to have health-promoting effects (via TNF-alpha (beneficial to the cardiac system)) and is not illegal. Not for everyone, but that ought to go without saying. Educated, responsible use is vital.
