Saw TouchGraph on thescreensavers a while ago, this article just reminded me of it. Basically its a java applet that allows you to search google and look at the relationships graphically, pretty cool.
I'm not exactly sure how Bon Joni's pin number idea works, but The Tragically Hip's (A well-known Canadian band) latest cd that came out quite a few months ago comes with a membership card in it. By going to the membership site and using the id number that comes with the CD you get access to exclusive news and media. Its a great way to get people to acutally by the cd, without using DRM.
I own all three movies on DVD so I feel i'm pretty much an expert in this field so...
Somethings scientists should know before creating Jurassic Park:
1) Doesn't matter if you create them all female, somehow they will reproduce...
2) While it may seem wise to create them on a remote island, it really isn't, trust me, I know.
3) No matter how good the security is and how strong the cages are, they will escape, so might be a good idea to only create the small cute ones.
4) And this is the important one, Don't EVER forget, that they have outsmarted scientists on at least 3 different blockbuster entertaining occasions, and they will do it again.
Sometimes a storyline makes a great game better, I remember playing many space shooters, and then I came across Decent Freespace.. I was hooked, the story kept me wanting more, the cutscenes made me feel that I was actually part of the story.
If a game has good action you'll play it for awhile, then boredom sets in, a good story on the other hand can keep you going back, and a great story can make you an addict.
