No, it's more like someone who wants to dehumanize other people.
BTW, I'm hot sure which population you were referring to, but in the USA, more than half the voters favor gay marriage, and that percentage is going up rapidly.
I'm seeing one raging against LA police recording data from license plate readers... and this one talking about how quaint and backwards it will soon be to complain about someone recording everything they see with Google Glass. Which raises the question... how do you feel about cops wearing Glass?
Yeah, the Serbs were just engaged in "ethnic cleansing". We should have done what most people do when someone is getting mugged, and just looked the other way. Right?
Well, let's see... Russia? China? India? Latin America? Africa? Most Euro countries? Just where do you think your speech is going to be more free than in the USA?
However well it may have worked out, Snowden's actions in distributing documents clearly violate some laws, and he clearly should face trial in the USA. Whether he should be convicted of anything or not is a separate matter.
Assange is accused of rape in Sweden. Nothing to do with the USA, unless you spend your life walking around with a tin foil hat.
Or Google could put in a simple option that says that every in-game purchase requires a password. No need to buy special gift cards or worry that your kid won't even realize he's buying something.
"I want to buy a horse in this game" "How much does it cost?"
"$1.50" "OK"... puts in password.... kid buys horse. Then something else pops up that says "would you like fancy clothes" and the kid goes for that as well. etc.
Who is being irresponsible here? The parent? Or Google? How tough would it be to have a setting that EACH in-app purchase needs a password, OR in-app purchases are unlocked for X minutes?
95% of all programmers under the age of 28 say "oooo shiny" when they see something "new" (usually something repackaged from the 1980's) so I'm not sure I'd rely on them for a definition of "legacy".
Please don't make excuses for aggressive jerks. Maybe if people were civilized and didn't harrass others, nothing would have gone wrong. Just a thought.
Yeah, all we know for sure what that someone killed the woman that OJ threatened to kill wearing OJ's shoes with OJ's hair with OJ's knife, and then OJ tried to flee while disguised. But other than that, yeah, not much evidence.
The other thing we know is that America is truly the land of equality where a rich black man can get away with murder just like a rich white man.
She told them "I'm going to start recording you" and THEN they went after her. Perhaps if she was less aggressive nothing would have gone wrong? Just a thought.
I would be surprised if anyone who has actually used Ruby on Rails thinks it's a language. I used it for 2 years and I was aware of the separation from day 1.
If you want to get deeper into Ruby, I'd recommend "Metaprogramming Ruby" which will give you good insight into how Ruby really operates, and how flexible it really is.
Ah yes, it should all be "intuitive". That was what drove me nuts about ruby on rails... the constant assertion that it was all so "intuitive" that you could just type in what you expected to work, and it would work by magic. Sometimes it did... sometimes it didn't, and you then got to get up close and personal with Stackoverflow trying to find the answer to why.
Because we know that the only difference between Japan and the USA is posting scores. Glad we've settled that. Amazing that my classmates aren't all dead now.
It isn't a judgement, it's feedback on how you are doing. If you are one of those people who obsess over being 57th out of 114, well, there isn't much anyone can do for you.
When I went to school, exam scores were literally posted on the wall. Everyone's score, there in black & white, with their name next to it. That was how you found out how you did. It wasn't considered a crime against humanity at that time.
Indeed arguing the higher moral ground can be difficult when you're an American ...
Not really
No, it is something you've imagined.
I was with you on getting rid of Javascript till you mentioned Perl.

Try running for president in Russia and spending the rest of your life in jail.

I wish I had points to mod you up. Absolutely right.

Racists can also acquit criminals who are members of their own racial group. See OJ Simpson for example.
Please do NOT come out of your parent's basement.

Like the marines say... second place... oh yeah, that's first loser.

it worked from my perspective of I found out my grade and my delicate psyche survived not being the highest grade in the class.
We're not talking about HIV status, we're talking about a chem midterm. Trust me, students will survive.
