The issue of who is selling more makes it seem as if the one with the most units sold "wins". In fact, total units sold among all 3 counsels is far exceeding even the most wild speculation for this depressed holiday market, and if the current pace continues, all 3 platforms will be viable options for the duration of their product lifespan.
That being said, the number of x-box units sold compared to GC surprises me. I personally went with the X-box, and am very happy with the choice for a number of reasons, but felt GC would be sell more units during initial release based solely on price and name recognition. Strange how people seem to want to validate themselves by saying they bought "the most popular" system. Hell, at one time 3 out of every 4 people I knew wore parachute pants... where are they now ?
