Heh, anything designed to get you to visit Reading is a trap :p

  2. Armband on Rumors of iPod mini, 100 Million Songs, Xserve G5 All True · · Score: 1

iPod Armband eh ? How would this affect the hd, if you've got it strapped to your arm and it's swinging back and forth while running ? Yeah, I know it probably spins up for a short amount of time, but it can't be good for it can it ?

  3. Re:in SOVIET RUSSIA on New SGI Altix 3000 · · Score: 0, Offtopic

It was from a joke Yakov Smirnoff (comedian) made. The original joke was "In Soviet Russia ... Television watches YOU !"

  4. Age ? on ID'ing People By How They Walk · · Score: 2, Interesting

How would this cope with people's gaits changing as they get older ??

Presumably if someone developed arthritis (sp?)or something else in their knees or developed a limp (or just faked it) it would mess up the recognition ?

  5. New Scientist on ID'ing People By How They Walk · · Score: 1

I'm pretty sure that this (or something very much like it) was printed in New Scientist about a year ago. I can't find a link on their website tho :(

  6. Re:Depends on the usage patterns on How Many CPUs for Microsoft's SQL Server? · · Score: 1

I dunno, I think that should have been modded as funny. 3/4 of a processor ? Add another 2/3 ? Ha ha ha !

  7. Re:Wallace eyes the export market... on New Wallace and Gromit Shorts · · Score: 1

    He means Nobby Styles.

Any readers of Viz out there will recognize this as rhyming slang for piles ... I doubt he meant that tho !

  8. Excellent on More on MIT OpenCourseWare · · Score: 1

This is pretty frikkin' cool. It's good to see that there's still a small amount of people prepared to make something available for free, and something that's actually worth reading.

Now the server on the other side checks your serial # with the sign on server. Viola.

    Free instruments ? Sweeeet !!

  10. Tetris On Wrist Watch on Seventeen Years of Tetris · · Score: 1

It's true, I used to have one, way back when.

    Don't believe me ? See here !

It ruled as well, Tetris anywhere, on the sly ! I think they did versions of mario and Zelda for those watches as well.
