So you can still use meta tags on flash web pages and I think flash works best in combanation with HTML. Notice that Macromedia.com is both flash AND HTML?

The Reg usually makes for an interesting read The Inquirer is a good source for AMD/Intel roadmaps and bleeding edge tech news. Anandtech is not updated that often but the often have the best coverag and reviews of new products and technologies. I don't visit Toms Hardware often but it is another good source for benchmarks and reviews.
And RDRAM is good for bandwidth and it clocks well but it has a more latent read time then SDRAM. Intel is moving to a quad pumped 133 FSB (533 MHz) and I don't think they have will be pushing RDRAM in the near future. AMD however does own a RAMBUS licence and may use it for it's Hammer. Rambus is now working on a dual channel 4.2GB "RIMM 4200" module and I don't know what the current max throughput is for the current DDR 333. AMD's 266 FSB will not currently take full advantage of DDR 333 but the addional bandwidth can be used be devices with DMA (direct memory access) as well, the downside is that there is some performance loss having the ram run out of sync with the CPU. AMD hs the capibility to up the FSB but is holding off for marketing reasons. There are some fragmented thoughts, anyone have a link to a well written article detailing the current state of the technology?
I watched a special on the Discovery channel abut meteors, it had some insightful information on meteors and some near-misses in the past, if you get a topographical map of the earth and remove all the trees, water, and man made stuff, what's left makes the moon look like glass. The Earth has been hit my multiple meteors and even since the presence of the human race we have had some near devastating close calls, we don't currently have enough centers/people to monitor the entire sky for meteors, but it is a likely case that a one could cause the destruction of the human race unless we populate another planet as well to ensure the survival of the species.

Anyone hear about Micsosofts plans with XP SP1? I just thought you all would like to know but what are the odd of getting Taco to post such info to the main page? What about Morpheus being down meaning it's not actually even real p2p debunking nearly their entire defence strategy? I guess it's only posted if it's good news for the open source linux hippies in the world./. is yellow journalism for unrealistic open source hippies.
Or all the AP to all ports under 1024 then you are wrong. I get SO much spam for Korea and Korean schools, I've recieved multiple spams from that_exact_school_ multiple times, I have tried to contact them and many others have tried to contact them, the spam keeps comming, BLOCK THEM !
I wonder how hard it would be to get my cisco NAT router to run IPv6 for my LAN and configure my linux/winodws boxes to use it? I think it would be cool to start using it early. Anyone know of any other popular SOHO NAT routers supporting it or running a system like this at home?
I found a before picture for those of you that are curious. more before pics here The next case I buy will probably be a Lian Li PC-60 and I do like the case mod articles on/. but it may be a good idea to make a seperate topic for hardware mods.
You could go to SF and pick some project at random and start helping with it, or, you could try to stop using closed source software, when you need to do something that you could not otherwise do with an open source solution, or if you are using an open source project that lacks a certain functionality, you've found a good place to start contributing.
Kevin McGrath (AMD senior tech) gave a great presentation at Stanford on the Hammer and how AMD took on many design concepts of the X86-64 architecture. This was probably one of the more informative lectures I have seen on the topic. The video is long though

Not to state their reason for extinction as fact but it is generally accepted never the less.

There are actually a few ideas in progress to melt the ice and Terriform Mars so that the climate is sufficient to support human life.
