forget all this nonsence about unix rights. Its not about that. The Secure Global Desktop system is something we've had in production at my workplace for a few years now, and its a great system, similar to VNC, but on a much higher level. I've tested it on sunrays with sun IT execs and they were througoughly impressed. The acquisition therefore comes as no surprise. SGD is also much cheaper than Citrix and is rapidly expanding. In my console, which i run on gentoo, i have very quick access to win2003, the SGD management console, Gnome, KDE, and many other apps. I think this is much more valuable than some never ending court battle creating bad PR. Sun aint after that.
a thouroughly well written, explicit and enticing view of a book, which, judging by your superb detailed description will not only interest geeks, but other broad-minded people. Excellent, cheers ! will order it asap.
yes, i can only concur. As someone who has 'suffered' from diabetes for 13 years (i'm now 29) i'd say i'm in pretty good health. I drink and eat whatever i want, but i use a swiss-trained therapy called FIT: Functional Insulin Therapy. This system allows me to live a reasonably normal life. The dangers are still there however and it's still a 24h vigil, but i much prefer this to combatting my immune system with drugs and subjecting myself and mother to a potentially dangerous operation. However, i praise any research done in this matter and find treatments such as the one given to the japanese girl a necessity.
Insulin is not classified as a 'medication', but a hormone. I myself am diabetic (type 1) and would rather continue to take my 6 injections a day than have an operation and use drugs to combat my immune system. I really look forward to the day when there's a cure. I wish the japanese girl all the best tho !
what many people dont understand, yet still speak out against, is the fact that the embryo is not created in the classic way - it involves an egg with most of its genetic identity removed being fertilized by a 'cell', not a sperm. This could be a cell from almost any part of the body, normally however its a skin cell. We dont cry out everytime we wash off thousands of skins cells in the bath-tub do we ? niether should we cry out when thousands of lives and billions of dollars are saved from this amazing breakthrough in technology.
yeah these people really make me sick. They are corporitists, living at the pinnicle of a corrupt plutocracy and doing very well for themselves. These scoundrels should be brought to justice - something which there seems to be a complete lack of, basically due to the fact that all these people think alike, the common man has little or no chance.
in another related report today, unicorns and swordfish claim their sword's have the same sensitive attributes and should not be underrated.
from coldplay's X&Y album: FIX YOU ;)
considering that the UK only has FIVE channels, i think a 60GB IPOD would be enough to record for a month.
