Being that the only real job of middle management in this situation is translating geek into money-guy; you need to see how well they can relate employee ideas into marketing manna. Make up a silly idea relating to working conditions (like all employees need an x-box for relaxation) ask them to pitch the idea to your management counterpart. Silly ideas are best, as the answer will be No. hey will have to translate that no into something that still allows you to be happy, even though you didn't get your way.
The RIAA has no concern for the "Missing" money they are attributing to online piracy. That's the smokescreen. What they are truly protecting is there Total control of distribution. By killing online distribution they can still charge 16.99 for the music even without the CD (as you will have no alternative). They will also maintain all the perks of being the only avenue to or from the artist. Allowing them to continue to make 800 million on an album while the artist makes $5.
I notice that Blade runner was mentioned alongside aliens as reference to "good" Sci Fi.
Blade runner was adapted from another P K Dick story "Do androids dream of electric sheep" When I say adapted I mean that Hollywood removed any meaningful content and replaced it with breasts and explosions. Compared to the painfully detailed social commentary and legendary character depth that the book contains, the movie is the worst pile of crap ever to grace the screen.
