  1. bad to distrubute software for linux?? on If You Port It, They Will Come · · Score: 1

No matter what, Linux will never be as popular or wide-spred as windows is. Users as a whole arn't neccassarly cheap-skates. We're all broke-ass and will pirate software. In either case, Linux will never be as popular as Windows. Therefore, propritary software companies will not make software for Linux. Linux in the world is considered an alternative. I mean, don't get me wrong, Linux is an excellent OS and etc. But there is no market place for Linux

  2. Patants on frequency's?? on Patent on Wireless Transfer of Pupil Data · · Score: 1

Is it possible for the governemnt or FCC to actually put pandents and ownership on spcific frequncys? It would be understandable if the company who "owns" this frequency to claim rights to it, but it's local and in the air, floating around out there. Which considerably is part of the world, and no one owns the world, not even Microsoft... yet. I suppose I have no point into writing this, but feed back on the essentials own frequency clams would be great. --Drake

  3. Why?? MS vs. Linux, yet again... on Korea Replacing 120,000 Windows with Linux · · Score: 1

So why exactly are they doing that?? What are they going to do with 120,000 copies of Linux?? I mean, of course Linux is better then MS in it's own ways. Do they plan to distrubute the copies around Korea in hopes people will buy, but by common figures, most people are familar with MS's Window basis and will the people actually make use of Linux??

  4. Another Linux vs. Microsoft Battle on Belgium: A Computer in Every Home · · Score: 1

This is an opertonity for Linux to shine through MS once again. If Linux could stucture it's self up against MS in this, Linux could get a good promo. Linux has some high quiality basises to it. It has no target on which MS can battle and take over. Linux has set it's self up a nice plot.
But on the actuall topic, does everyone in Belgeim need a PC?? If you are giving these PC's to the 'unweathlier' class, what's to prevent them from selling or pawning these off?? And do many of these people even know how to use a PC at that. Plus, alot of matince goes into computers, so could they afford it if anything went wrong with the machine??

  5. Give it up! on Consumer Electronics, Hollywood Work Against 'Video Napster' · · Score: 1

Why don't these people just give it up?! There will always be a way to obtain video and MP3's from the net. The internet has become too broad and conclusive to track everything down and make it illeagal or put a membership on it.
There isn't much they can do, take Napster as a great example. They began to drop half they're content, then throw a membership around for the people who truely wanted to continue with it's use. But once that poped up, look how many other programs came into light! Audiogalaxy dropped a big bomb as soon as Napster went under. Then Kazaa and Morpheus came into the big picture only a few months later. If even a few a few months. These people tracking all the sharded material arn't cut out for they're work. No matter how illegal, or how much the membership is, someone will have it for free.

  6. Why does this not surprise me?? on Microsoft Caught Rigging ZD Net Poll · · Score: 1

For some reason I don't seemed to surprised by MS cheating on somthing. But it makes me wonder, how many other this has MS cheated out on?? I'm not saying MS is a cheater (well, sort of), but I'm still waiting for the day when Lunix/Unix systems take over!

  7. Re:MS vs. Real vs. Apple in the battle of DVD on CD/DVD Manufacturers To Support Windows Media · · Score: 1

MS is always going to be ontop of things. Weather people like it or not! I'd prefur to run Windows Media over Apple or Real any day of the week. I just hope sometime soon, MS will incorporate the Win Media on DVD players to allow DivX's.

  8. MS vs. Real vs. Apple in the battle of DVD on CD/DVD Manufacturers To Support Windows Media · · Score: 1

Apple or Real could have had the idea to support they're media withen DVD players. But MicroSoft just happened to come up with the idea first. MS just have better bussiness people in general. And is it that big of a deal that MS incorporated they're technology insted of Real or Apple?? And the only differnce is, DVD players will be running Window's Media which I find to be a highly reliable player! So, why is everyone worrying about MS??
