might i suggest a book of jay leno headlines? my gf got me an old book full of them...ive been laughing at them for the past few days. sometimes its a toss up between his comments or the actual story being the funniest.
personal fav: the back-to-school ad featuring the 1-liter bottle of vodka. now that's what i call a store!
I've personally run slackware on an old 486 box just like the one described for a few years. It just quietly sat in a corner and served up web pages and the like. But yeah, grab slackware 3.3 or 3.4 from their ftp site. It's still free as the day it was produced.
Besides, slackware is a great tool for learning the innards of linux. It forces you to learn how linux really works.
With all this talk about bandwidth caps I'm glad RR hasn't really talked much crazy stuff like that.
But still I can understand why they're considering them: gotta recoup all that money lost in the merger. Considering just how expensive Tx's and OC-x's are I'm not surprised that they're considering this. Not that I condone their proposal...
So I guess when you do something wrong it will tell you things like:
"I fart in your general direction..."
and most importantly
"go away or I will taunt you a second time".
Call me nostalgic but sometimes I miss the old netscape logo...ya know, the N that would rise and fall as the page loaded. Happy b-day netscape! -d
