The best part of Trump's election has really been the way it's led to liberals coming completely unhinged and exposing themselves as the party of hate and deceit. I've never been a huge fan of Trump's but the one thing he's unquestionably succeeded at is showing what a vile and disgusting bunch of self serving and seditious scumbags the political elite are.
No one said anything about black vs white and it's nice to see you assume you know my skin color but... I'll let you in a little secret, us black folks aren't the only people who encounter the police in Baltimore and we're also no exclusively in support of criminals. Some of us are damn sick and tired of seeing our communities ravaged by guns and drugs and young kids who want to be thugs more than they want to be doctors or lawyers. Take it from a successful black man who was raised in the projects to a single mother on welfare, and who's now comfortably earning six figures... this isn't a black vs white problem or a cops vs civilians problem and lobbying for some overwatch drones isn't an answer. The answer is outreach and stopping the problem that's led to these kids choosing crime and believing that police are the problem. I've experienced racism in a lot of ways, never from the police... When I was a young shithead doing stupid things, cops treated me like one. Admittedly, I blamed my skin color for a number of years.. Then a crazy thing happened, I stopped listening to all the people telling me I didn't have any opportunities and that I was gonna spend my life in the projects, I worked hard and made something of myself, stopped doing the stupid shit I'd been doing and stopped running around with the stupid kids I was running around with, and cops suddenly stopped being "racist" towards me... turns out it was the choices I was making that were the problem with my relationship with police, not my skin color after all. The ultimate objective is to change the culture of crime that's overrun communities like Baltimore, and to do requires excising the cancers that are ruining the culture... which, unfortunately, requires incarceration.
What's worse... calling a patent troll, however successful he was, an "inventor"... or that California spent two and half decades trying to extort that patent troll for money.
Maybe Baltimore residents should spend more time lobbying for people to stop breaking the goddamn law... the rest will fix itself.
Yes, there's some asshole cops out there who go too far... but let's be honest, it's not like they're just randomly abusing soccer moms and, if we're being honest, I'm not overly concerned with how nice cops are to the shitheads that can't follow the law. Wasting money to try and punish police isn't going to stop any crime or improve conditions, all it's going to do is make the leo's who are out there for the right reasons get sick and tired of being second guessed and go find other work... leaving more aggressive assholes who joined for the wrong reasons on the streets. The solution is to focus on curtailing the endless crime wave throughout the city that necessitates so much policing.
This so perfectly captures the absurdity of modern offensiveness based politically correct culture... only the growing number of weak minded, delicate, and eager to be offended individuals makes this an issue we have to contend with. If people weren't so eager to make everything an offense no one would care what people were using as screen names, but god forbid some snowflake somewhere get triggered by anything so we try to censor the world to save their feelings.

You know, the state that despite being the 5th largest economy in the world ranked 29th on the economic performance index for 2017 and 47th in economic outlook... you know, the state that came in dead last among all 50 states in quality of living according to a US News & World report... You know, the state that's so shitty they're spending over $1,000,000 for people to literally pick up shit off the streets in San Francisco. You know, California... the state where thousands of high paid professionals pack up and leave every day for places like Texas and Utah or Arizona... You know, California, the state where the overwhelming majority of residents can't afford to pay rent, let alone buy property. Good 'ol California, the state where they're driving away big businesses like Carl's Jr who'd been there for six decades (off to Nashville) and Toyota (off to Dallas) or Jacobs Engineering (also to Dallas)... etc, etc, etc

Doesn't matter how much you make if you can't control your spending... funny how the state is so wealthy yet on the verge of bankruptcy, unable to honor pension, in dire need of billions in infrastructure spending due to misallocated funding earmarked for critical infrastructure being used on partisan boondoggles, and faces an ongoing crisis of wealth and business fleeing the state.
CA is so rich that Arnold had to raid the public transportation account for over $1 billion to cover shortfalls in the general-fund caused by wasteful liberal spending. CA is so rich that they had to tack another $0.40 tax on to every gallon of gas at the start of this year to keep scamming low income residents for money they can't afford to pay for projects they don't want.
But sure... sit back and pretend screaming "we're the fifth largest economy in the world" is an answer to anything...
California is in a perpetual competition with itself to come up with the most freedom infringing, pointless legislation possible... if it wastes money, achieves nothing, and oppresses people, Moonbeam Brown will get behind it.
