You seem to be missing the fact that the nodes don't all need the same keypair, each node can generate it's own keypair like every other bit of software which uses private key encryption.
The TSA are wasting boatloads of money sexually assaulting and generally harassing everyone they can get their hand on. The reason whoever hijacked a number of planes at the same time is that they knew it was a one time thing, do it once and it will never work again.
If anyone of average intelligence with moderate funding wants to blow up some big landmark he won't use a hijacked airplane next time.
Why block GPS? What do criminals gain from it? Genuine Queston.
Really petty stuff actually. If I'm given a GPS tracked work car I could use a signal jammer to prevent work seeing I'm taking a detour or a long lunch break.
It's not hardened professional bank robbers being called 'criminals' here, it's white-van-man who wants to take his GF shopping with his work van and doesn't want his boss to know about it. These people likely don't know that GPS jamming is criminal.
The one part of that that makes any rational sense is the bit about the UK wanting a non-US GPS system but you have the reasoning all wrong. The UK wants a non-US system because if they are tied into the US system the US can charge anything for it. Sure the US hasn't charged yet AFAIK but they could do the future.
You always have multiple suppliers, it's a basic principle of not getting ripped off.
How do anyone does anything they claim to. Trust, brother, trust. And, google has 100% lost mine. I am working on a plan to ditch Gmail permanently, and I'll be done with google forever.
Run your own mail server, it works for most of the old school slashdotters.
Anything else just leaves you open to the same abuse from a different company.
if he has managed to make enemies of wikipedia and ED he must be a real winner
Wikipedia is a big pile of political nonsense and power abuse, it can be a very hostile environment if you get involved in anyone's fifedom or run into a power crazy admin. It's amazing that project produces anything of real use.
I would like to know just what he did to upset the ED people though.
Nope, you were disproving the statement that China never has innovated.
That's not right. 'China never innovates' implies China has never innovated. You can't judge a country on future actions that no-one has any knowledge of.
That's like me saying I 'never eat at mcdonalds' when I've eaten there 5 times in the past week but don't plan to eat there this week.
My cooking pots are stainless steel. My kettle is likewise stainless steel. Nether can talk and as far as I'm aware nether has racist tendencies.
Racist? The phrase has nothing to do with racism. A cooking pot or kettle, when used over an open fire, get sooty (i.e. black).
(Or, alternatively, the kettle is clean and shiny, as it's not put on an open fire. Then the pot's accusation is based on its own reflection in the kettle.)
Everything that includes the word 'black' is considered racist these days, and any accusation of racism is true without proof. That's the way it works these days.
Do you really still heat water by putting it in a metal kettle and putting that over an open fire? Don't they have electric kettle's where you live?. Don't they have gas mains or bottled gas? That phrase is so out of date in most of the world.
The moral of that story is lock your computer whenever you are not at the keyboard, physically disconnect any firewire ports, and check the wiring for anything you didn't plug in every once in a while.
Quite right, it is. But then so is every other market with government protectionism and the various taxes made up to prevent free trade.
Using less electricity is a great idea and LED lighting is a great way to do that. Have you looked at why LED lighting is so expensive? So called anti-dumping tariffs stranging free trade, that's why.
1) Our security forces focus exclusively on taking peoples shoes off, punishing them for traveling by irradiating travelers, and molest traveling women and children. Definitely the laughingstock of the world's security and customs personnel.
Commiting minor sexual assult as a matter of routine isn't considered a laughing matter in most countries, it's considered sick.
2)...China never innovates...
That's the pro-US point of view is it? Who do you think has been supporting the mighty US empire with loans for the last few decades? Who does the US now owe more to than it could ever hope to pay back?
Off the top of my head china invented gunpower and fireworks, paper money, the use of iron, and china ( The stuff cups are made out of ).
As an American I find your attitudes offensive. We have done nothing but make the world a better place. Contrary to what you europeans think we're good summaritans not warmongers.
The people may or may not have good intensions but governments are not run by the people, they are run by the governments.
The resent spate of invasions have not made the world a better place. Destroying the richest country in Africa because the leader wanted to sell oil for gold instead of US Dollars is not making the world a better place.
Google don't analyze SHIT. It is an algorithm for crying out loud.
Google write algorithms to search though other people's data as a means to target adverts at them. To do that they have to keep the kind of records that most people would not be comfortable with. As they work under the laws of the countries they operate in they have to hand everything over to who-knows how many government agencies when instructed.
Google are harvesting a whole load of data that has no legitimate use other that to piss people off with adverts.
You seem to be missing the fact that the nodes don't all need the same keypair, each node can generate it's own keypair like every other bit of software which uses private key encryption.
Oh, yeah, the radiation issue.
Equivalent to 3 MINUTES OF FLIGHT. So if it scares you don't fly, or live in Denver or anywhere above sea level!
That's what they tell people. Given it's not the same kind of radiation that number is meaningless.
The TSA are wasting boatloads of money sexually assaulting and generally harassing everyone they can get their hand on. The reason whoever hijacked a number of planes at the same time is that they knew it was a one time thing, do it once and it will never work again.

'Independent of NATO' isn't the problem, against the interests of the US is the problem.
The biggest threat to GPS is the US realizing it can get big piles of cash for something it appears to be giving away.
I think you might have just broken some of your countries anti-terrorism laws by telling us that.
Why block GPS? What do criminals gain from it? Genuine Queston.

You are truly delusional.
The one part of that that makes any rational sense is the bit about the UK wanting a non-US GPS system but you have the reasoning all wrong. Slowly and surely google are turning into the next Microsoft.
Screw you google, I never fell for the Microsoft lock-in and I'm not going to fall for yours.
You really think the extreme majority is running Apache on 512M RAM? Show me some numbers, and I'll believe you.
I was running apache on a cheap virtual server with 512M ram. That was until I moved to nginx.
Nginx is WAY faster for the same system resource and it's easier to configure.
I'm not saying apache is bad, just nginx is better. I'll not be going back to apache.
What's wrong with guns????
They make it very easy to kill people.
Many consider that a problem, many consider it an advantage.

The moral of that story is lock your computer whenever you are not at the keyboard, physically disconnect any firewire ports, and check the wiring for anything you didn't plug in every once in a while.
Ummm ... So what.
That market is tainted. And everyone knows it.
Quite right, it is. But then so is every other market with government protectionism and the various taxes made up to prevent free trade.

pot calling kettle
My cooking pots are stainless steel. My kettle is likewise stainless steel. Nether can talk and as far as I'm aware nether has racist tendencies.
It's time that whole pot/kettle thing was just forgotten about.
Searching the internet and searching files are two different worlds and I assure you that Microsoft and Apple both know how to search through files.
That explains why the windows file search is so amazingly helpful. Oh, it's not.
Err, what?
I never said anything about Mubarak.
You don't need to give it up, at all.
I don't understand this mentality at all. Use ALL of them.
Encrypt your data then RAID-6 it across the various cloud providers.
