I'm a.mac user and I think it is great for auto-backup and email in general. I very like the iSync feature when I can add things in my address book anywhere and sync it with my home computer. Bookmark syncing is great also.
But I have to admit that free software available for mac user is uselly fraud. Sticky Brain 2 is awful and puts stuff everywhere. Each time you start it, it ask for buying stupid software. This is nothing more than a sharewhere.
I won't even install iBlog because I think it is just the same and I don't wan't it to install stupid services in safari or other OS X apps.
And version tracker, this plus subscription is useless: you cannot use the software with it, everything must be edit by hand and I'm sure I will receive full of their adv emails that I of courses did not agree with..mac member benefit are nothing more than cheap promotional adv.
Personally, I found that being able to write a Word report on X that everybody of my non-geek folks could read and modify without any complaint and doing UNIX specific stuff make me use OS X over Linux.
Fink is the unix tool on OSX. Whenever you need a linux/unix library or a software that isn't available on X, you install it with dselect without any problems most of the time.
You can still download the source and try to compile it but hey, fink does that.
Maybe your configuration is wrong. On my iBook 500, the performance is just so much better than mozilla, especially for the UI that is very responsive. There are still some bugs and the side bar is not very cool but 0.5 and 0.6 are working great.
Why not try to stick to nightly builds.
I predict that chimera will be a great small browser by 1.0. Mozilla is great too but has too many features for my browsing needs.
Well, I have Lifebooks owner that are very disapointed by the performance of their processor. They say that 800 Mhz sounds more like 233 on real system.
Clockspeed is reducing to save energy...
I don't believe them, they just want us to update to 7.0 so they can put us adds about there great piece of shit.
OS X makes it so fun to use tar and bzip2!
Anybody kind enough to tell me what is NetInfo.

My guess is apple don't support usb 2 because it would kill firewire 800, a standard that doesn't seem to be adopted by many manufacturer yet.
I found it quite bad from McAfee to use fink and then screw all fink user with Virex.
But it is always a personnal choice...

QuickTime 6.1.1 is also available on software update. Seems to container mpeg 4 streaming bug fixes.
Yeah, I'm a looser!
Is there some many people that couldn't configure their mail and sleep at night?
I have one for you: I would like to use my old dos apps but without using Virtual PC or bochs because I don't like them.

Crusoe processor is slow. Code Morphing (TM) just desn't do the job fast enought and nobody is willing to pay for a slow 800 Mhz processor.
What a stupid and childish comment.
Relax, Don't do it, ..., When you wanna...!
