Wow, can you even read? Do you often spend time typing something out that has no relevance to the question? Mebbe you should think about investing into an education.

You are correct; I understand the contrasting technicalities of the legal system and have no reason for doubting their existence. Strictly speaking from a sociological standpoint, is this what it has come down to? I mean, are we relegated to accepting this minor (for practical purposes) violation of the trade secret law as MORE important than an obvious national turncoat? Is our legal system in that poor of standing that we cannot successfully prosecute the clear cut case of Novak, but we can sponsor this? Why can't we demand more as Americans? Oh so disappointing!

There is something truly wrong if Apple can get this kid to divulge the source of his "leaker" when comparatively, Robert Novak can leak the name of an undercover CIA agent any not have to divulge his source? Tell me if I'm wrong here. I am not a political beast, however I am an Apple fan and this is just an outright atrocity in our society. How can we hold some 19 year old to the fire over something as minor as this and we can have no accountability to such things as the Robert Novak affair? And heck he is STILL employed at CNN!

Why does'nt someone come up with the IDEA to fine the web site referred to in the spam.

    Wouldn't that solve the problem?

If unsolicited spam was sent with out the approval of the site make the site owner track them down or pay the fine... just my 2 cents.

Please shoot holes in this idea if you see em...

Ok, so maybe the word "endorse" was a little strong... however... I think what Linus is trying to say is there IS A PLACE for some type of encryption/DRM/content protection in the Linux world. In order to build out certain business models based on Linux platform, data/content protection is needed. Or MS will only increase their grasp on the world. Some business models require content protection; Adobe provides a (somewhat) protected document security, what about other files such as business docs/personal info/media documents? How can we protect our content across Linux platforms? I'm not speaking specifically to DRM in movies/music, rather from a broader perspective. Any products out there other than the one mentioned?

There is absolutly no better way to connect via a laptop if you are looking for widespread / cheap connection. I've been using the Hydra cable and Vision service for about 3 months. It is absolutly great. I get coverage from North Dakota to Texas. Solid.

Our company has been evaluating KeyMatix for file encryption. It seems to work quite well, and allows for remote key storage. With the remote key storage you can disable access to the keys when your data has been compromised. Has anyone implemented a solution with KeyMatix?
