    A friend of mine is in the Canadian military, and apparently a group of them spent two evenings being filmed for X-Men, going through various exercises... and in the end about 2 seconds ended up in the movie.

    I tried viewing the videos at lhpo.artcom.org with no luck... there seems to be an HTML error in their videos page. (missing ;" after the text movieframe(8)).
    Also, their mail page is broken - the cgi script it references does not exist.

    I tried contatcting them through their iuma page, hope that works.

    Maybe we need a (small) set of omnipotent moderators, each *committed* to reading the front page at a certain time of day, to clean up messes like this. Either that, or a email account frequently checked by high-powered moderators, to which people could mail emergency moderation requests...

    When I logged on today, I found three last "Q" posts, which I quashed with the last of my moderator points. It looks like it took 3 hours (from the first "Q" post) to quash them all.

    Sympatico doesn't employ a hidden proxy for this. They're very clear about their proxy: you have to set up a script URL in the browser settings.

    Note - they _used_ to require that you explicity specify the proxy server (and you would be unable to surf without doing so). Now, you don't have to set it, and you go through an invisible proxy.

    I switch between "pound" and "sharp" for # (though when I install and rpm, I watch the "hash marks" go by)...

    On a different note... whenever I type a "$" I think of it as "ssh" (as in "be quiet", not secure shell) in my head - anyone else do this? So I do a lot of "ell ess bang ssh"...
