Developers can use the C programming language to take advantage of this functionality and create software at a low cost. Based on the foundation of a developer-friendly environment and a system configured with few restrictions, developers can create an unequaled level of entertainment and create the kinds with the kind of depth everyone will want to experience.
And the rest of the site focusing mainly on the "Developer Friendly" atmosphere of the new systems. Maybe Nintendo is looking to tap the extensive community of open source developers to overwhelm the market with games for their consoles?
Actually I did find the morbid NASA jokes when Challenger blew up funny.
Now this doesn't take away from the tragedy at all. Some people simply deal with these situations better with humour. I know I do. And apperantly so do a number of others.
Hell, the military has it's own morbid sense of humour about such things. They call the escape hatches "Mother Hatches", supposedly because only their Mom's believe they can escape from them.
So, yes, they are dead. We are not. They were courages men, regardless of the flag they flew under. Let's not forget that. But for chrissakes, if you can't laugh at tradgedy, what are you going to laugh at? In this real world, light moments are few and far between, if we don't laugh at the dark, we might as well just commit suicide ourselves.
Sure, let Russia just abandon it's military. I'm sure Chechnya(sp) wouldn't mind. Or China for that matter. Hell, why don't we just waltz in and "help" them. No, there are plenty of valid reasons why the Russians need to maintain their military, just as we did during the Depression. You are using the same arguments some people use when they ask why the US still needs it's big military when we could use the money other places. Simple, because if you don't have a nation to rebuild where are you going to put your money?
There are plenty of enemies still out there, and defense is as important ( or more important ) then ever.
I agree tho, it is a sad state, but hopefully they will get through it.

This argument, too, has already been disproven. A COMMERCIAL distrubution CANNOT satisfy Section 3 of the GPL simply by linking to GNU's website. The GPL says this EXPLICITLY in Section 3(c):
Accompany it with the information you received as to the offer to distribute corresponding source code. (This alternative is allowed only for noncommercial distribution and only if you received the program in object code or executable form with such an offer, in accord with Subsection b above.) ( bold is mine )
They need to use sections 3(a) and 3(b) which to paraphrase state: 3a. Put the source code in the distrubution 3b. Make a written offer, good for a min. of 3 years saying you'll give them the source code, at a price no more then it takes to distribute, in a way commonly used for software interchange.
Linking to gnu.org's website falls under 3(c), which is invalid for them, putting source on their site follows 3(b) which is what they need to do. Specially since there is no gaurentee that they have not tampered with source code.
The utilities bc, ci, co, cpio, csplit, dc,diff, diff3, gawk, gzip, gunzip, ident, merge, nl, rcs, rcsdiff, rcsmerge and rlog are covered under the GNU General Public License, here reproduced.
Show me the source code for THOSE programs, and then they will no longer be in violation.
