    I seriously don't see it. Driving around, not only do I see thousands upon thousands of middle-class neighborhoods, I see new neighborhoods being built.

    Now, it's not the rich or the poor buying and living in those houses.

    What what will China run on? Coal?

    The use of Nuclear isn't just a good idea, it's inevitable as chemical sources of energy are used up.

    Miscarriage of science my ass. The field of atomic/partical research is big science. And it mostly invloves busting up particles and looking at the leftovers. They are designing and building huge accelerators even today.

    Your "miscarriage of science" gave us the fundemental knowlege of atoms and the particles that make them.

    Sounds like plain old science to me.

    Offhand it seems that it would be difficult to keep the iron from rusting to uselessness, but maybe the heat will burn off the iron-oxcide?

    Well, how much did it cost for you to install? When do you expect to break even? 10 years?

    How many people keep the same house for more than 10 years these days?

    What if it breaks? How hard/expensive is it to fix?

    The reason people "attack" Kerry's role in Vietnam is because he keeps bringing it up! If Bush started running on his enviromental record as the reason he should be president, he would get the same response.

    Because I didn't say that. I said when we determine that Canada is an imminent threat, the the US will invade. Why is this such a hard concept for you?

    This may be a surprise to you, but Sadamm wasn't co-operating. Now, there are a lmited amount of responses to that, and one of them is invasion.

    Do you wait until the last second to begin warplanning, or do you have the plans ready if you need them?

    Considering that if you're not ready, the military would have to leap into the situation half-assed, and suffer far more casulties.

    Anyway, It's been bound to run out for a long time now. As prices go up, people and nations will adjust. New sources of energy will have to used, life goes on.

    Good. Right now the federal government has far too much leverage over the states by holding big bags of "Highway money" over their heads.

    Where do you think that money comes from anyway? You're already PAYING for those highways in your taxes. By putting up tollbooths you're shifting the costs over to the people who use them the most. Like a gas tax.

    Oh, how horrible. Damn those "Bushies", I was really hoping for an irresistible centralized government. After all, more power just makes it better!

    Great, the you agree with me. We won't invade Canada. What was your point again? Something about Iraq?

    Actually, since I was the original poster, I know exactly what I was talking about. The US didn't beat down the Iraq army in 1991 because it invaded another country. It did it because he wanted to take over the whole middle east. We went in there and stopped him while we still had countries we could base in.

    That's what I was refering to.

    Waiting until a country is an imminent threat is a bad idea.

    Kind of like invading Iraq BEFORE they took over all of the middle east, not afterwords.

    What's next isn't working for someone else. What's next is working for yourself.

    Yeah, they don't know what all these people are supposed to do, because there are MANY types of self employement. Seeing all these people shift into one field or specialty would be a disaster.
