You know what would be cool would be if someone hedged a bet about recovering high value stuff like bitcoin and got a bunch of investors and attempted to build a time machine. You basically have infinite money lost over humanity and with that you can recoop infinite money. Imagine billions of dollars being poured into something like that, it's quite unlikely but definitely not impossible, and even if a time machine weren't built for a few billion dollars, think of the research that would come out of it, a pretty long trail of education and jobs created. If it does happen, it doesn't even require anything impossible like faster than light travel because the information is already there in the past and is here today in a dissipated form, too scattered and random for us to access without the keys to the universe. Imagine pointing a telescope at Andromeda. With a big enough telescope, you could see the hair follicles on aliens, totally doable but possibly impossible to build something that size but still doable at some scale, and then you can see what life was like billions of years ago in a different galaxy. Cool, hugh?
