You do realize all of the taxes paid by the venue, it's owners, and vendors could be paying for this... right? If the alarm goes off at my office the police come and check it out. They will only charge if there are repeated false alarms and that charge is to cut down on false alarms, not pay for the services of the police. This is not free though. One of the basic services we buy as tax payers is a police force and protection. How much does the state receive in tax revenue due to the superbowl? It should be a considerable amount with all of the added visitors in hotels, eating at resteraunts, etc... If their are terrorist problems at the event then the next superbowl might not do so well, resulting in less spent.

That's how I learned Spanish. My wife is from Venezuela and didn't speak any English when we met. Because we've always spoken spanish at home I am now fluent. Some native Spanish speakers even mistake me for a latino! Of course this has the flip side that she has been learning english very slowly. She wants me to speak english at home but it's just too slow now that I speak her language.

Why exactly does he need to pay for his kids to go to college. In my experience the kids who pay there own way are the ones who really value their education and put in the effort to learn what they are paying to learn. I've known lots of people in my school who really didn't belong there, didn't want to be there and were not interested in anything more than partying who were given a free ride through school by their parents.
If you want your kids in college teach them to work and learn so that they can pay and get scholarships to finish school through their own work.

I payed my own way and I really wanted my moneys worth, not just a piece of paper.

How well is firewire going to handle appliances? (vacuums, refrigerators, space heaters, etc...) Of course if you only have entertainment stuff and never have to hook up anything that uses any large amount of power then maybe you'd be fine. ;-)

I wish that there were an article on this that explained exactly how he lied. Did he deny visiting the site? Or was it something more subtle like the above poster mentioned. If the police didn't understand his response then what he said could have been construed as a lie when really completely innocent. If he was just saying that he didn't hack into the site and they say he was hacking so he was lying. (diretory traversal isn't really hacking anyway is it?)
