I like the cute embedded quotes you see on other sites. Eye candy, sure... Makes sense to the wondering eye, absolutely.. Difficult to implement, not so much.

This is what my company has done since 1996, and their are times we get push back. However, 90% of the time, we end up saving the company significant money. On hardware, software, maintenance, support and development.
I was just going to mention that http://www.northernlight.com puts your search results into nifty little "subject" based folders, and seems to do a slightly decent job. But, after going to the page, and doing the "Ford" search to see if it worked, I noticed that as of Jan 16, 2002..northernlight.com, as a FREE search engine, is no more. Go look...
Not to get overly off-topic..but I wanted to share how I do my @home connection..
NetGear has <A HREF=http://www.netgear.com/products/rt311ds.shtml routers</A> that are <$200, and they do NAT/PAT & DHCP. They work WONDERFUL, and I didn't have to setup a Linux box. Also, you can telnet to it to configure it, and it does some nifty things..like default private network hosts, based on port. So, if you *DO* have a Linux box on the private network, you can point SMTP (25) to a particular host on the inside network (i.e. 192.168.0.10, or whatever).
I've had this configuration up and running for over 4 months, and it's been flawless... Nice little wiring closet, with cable modem, router, server, switched 10/100 hub and a kickass cable distribution...
Now..what I want..is a Linux box on the public side of the router, that pings the cable modem/default gateway..if it goes down..it reroutes via the xDSL connection I have on another network card..if that dies, *AND* the @home connection is down, it fires up a modem.. That's my next project...and it should be doable.
BTW, GNUella works great through the Netgear box..;)
Didn't anyone find it interesting that along with the run-of-the-mill FUD, he also used RMS's GNU-Linux whining AGAINST the Linux movement...
Yet another example of, together we succeed...divided we fall. Instead of RMS giving the FUD-miesters more fuel to go on, by bickering over a NAME, wouldn't it be better if he was championing the success of Linux?
Must have been an outsourced web development shop at those rates.. :)

No thanks...just ties my number into the other social engineering tracking they are already doing...
But, thanks for trying it for the rest of us..
If Apple included MP3 Ripple software: Call the presses! Apple is innovative! iTunes is wonderful!
hypocrisy is fun to watch sometimes..
(I'm an Apple switcher, so this isn't flamebait...merely an observation...)
