  1. EXECUTIVE ORDER on DoCoMo Will Launch Fuel-Cell Mobile Phones By 2005 · · Score: -1, Troll

Cause you know, folks, with all these hybrid cars coming out, we NEED to keep our oil companies rich, I mean, What did we go to war for? The 200 and some soldiers that died whilst invading Iraq cannot die in vain! We must put an end to this silly rechargable and renewable energy "fad" now before profit margins slip any further! All you good americans will now use the fuel cells thanks to those ingenutive asians. By excutive order 200,187 I command that all Americans (I use Americans loosely, because real Americans wouldn't buy rechargable batteries anyway) begin to use these cell phone fuel cells immediately!!!
Oh, by the way, please ignore the current intelligence scandal.
    Thank you and good day.
    President George Bush

  2. Faulkner??? on A Good Summer Read? · · Score: 1

Who reads Faulkner for fun? Ten-page paragraphs? Jeez...

  3. I wonder if anyone noticed on RIAA Settlement: Possible Consumer Payback · · Score: 5, Interesting

I wonder if any one noticed that the settlement was for 67 MILLION dollars? That means 13 MILLION people have to sign up for it before it goes below 5 bucks a person. I like Slashdot, but I dont' think there are that many readers. If less than three million people sign up, which seems reasonable to say, everyone gets Twenty bucks. Cool. Besides, anyone who is a REAL freak about their personal information would have a PO BOX, and wouldn't care. Amateurs.

  4. He he he on Is The Net At Fault For Illegal Filesharing? · · Score: 1

This is probably just a matter of opion if anything .. but it seems that it's the artists to blame. Think of it ... the less something is worth, the less someone is willing to pay for it ... What's the most downloadwed stuff on the net? PORN! Well, my "opinion" is that it is on the bottom rung of the art chain. I don't think too much bandwidth is clogged up by mozart or bethoven. The next rung up would be N*crap and all those other boy bands, not much higher on the artistry food chain, butr almost as downloaded as porn .. Maybe I'm seeing things here, but it seems to me that there is a pattern. A lot of music and movies that I like doesn't even seem to be widely available over any P2P I share over (cough KaZaA.... cough) SO if we aren't going to blame the user for downloading illegal media, then perhaps we should be blaming so called "artists" for putting out music and video that isn't worth paying for.
