1. Re:haha oh wow on Researchers Suggest P2P As Solution To Video Domination of The Internet · · Score: 1

I'm assuming you don't actually use P2P? In P2P, i get what i want, when i want. Multicast is just broadcasting the content, which would be good for a live Victoria Secret feed, but if i wanted to download it at my convenient (not at the time of broadcast), P2P is far better.
I wasn't wearing a helment, because we did not intend the bike to even move!
Is this sarcasm? The definition of an 'accident' is unintentional: 1. an undesirable or unfortunate happening that occurs unintentionally and usually results in harm, injury, damage, or loss; casualty; mishap: automobile accidents. 3. any event that happens unexpectedly, without a deliberate plan or cause. If things worked out as intended, we wouldn't have accidents.

Actually, the 360 has been making a profit per console since early this year.

I have to agree with you on the availability of the Wii. I tried looking for one just last week, and it was practically all sold out around here. But another thing i found interesting, of the 7 people i knew that has had their Wii since last holiday, only ONE person still uses it regularly. As for the 3 people, including me with the 360, we still use ours very regularly.
Small sample, and all anecdotal experiences, but that's my personal experience with the two consoles.

  5. You really do see the Milky Way on Making War On Light Pollution · · Score: 1

About 17 years ago, when i was 13, i went camping up north in Algonquin park. And the first night, was the first time i ever seen the skies on a clear night without any light pollution (i grew up in the city, so never saw more than a half dozen stars or so on the best nights), i saw literally millions of stars. I always though the photos of the Milky Way were shot in space, but i could see it from where i was, and it was absolutely breathtaking. I can't even fully describe what it was like to just lay on my back and watch the skies. I could actually see shooting stars and even satellites creeping across the sky!

  6. As somebody who worked at Sprint... on Sprint Drops Customers Over Excessive Inquiries · · Score: 2, Insightful

Well, technically i worked for the outsourcing company Marusa Marketing, which handles Sprint customer-service, this is a great idea. There's almost no reason why anybody would need to call billing 25+ times in a single month; and in the 0.1% of legitimate cases where somebody did require that, do you REALLY want to stay as a customer anyways if your experience is so horrible? I know i certainly wouldn't, and would jump with joy if the company dumped me and let me go of my contract. There are way too many times when a company tries to make the customer happy when it's evidently clear that the customer is trying to take advantage of the system through abuse. I'm glad to see that there are some companies that clearly have the balls to kick those type of customers to the curb. These customers act the way they do because they've learned from past experience that if they harass the company enough, they'll get their way... and if they don't, what do they have to lose? At least now, there's the chance that they'll lose service.
