And I was simply stating what a majority of people say about him... that he is one of the best. It doesn't mean I think so, but he does have good stuff.
Again... he didn't write ANY of the essays here... so it's not about his writing.
You got that right. W3C requires a PhD to understand the rules. OK, maybe it's not that technical, but it's tough to reference it quickly. WaSP does a better job of communicating the "how."
I have a keyboard for my Palm Vx and I am very happy with it. One drawback: you can't use it with a modem since the both require the same slot. I'm wondering if the VKB would be possible to use with a modem so we can chat live instead of use grafitti. It doesn't look like it would be comfortable, but it'd be an alternative.
I used to review games for the Dallas Morning News and when I wrote a general article on Harry Potter, I tried to get the game to review for the same issue. It didn't work out because it wasn't available when the article ran (one week before the movie).
In this case, I didn't get an offer to review a demo, but I would've turned it down since it's not giving the public a fair look at the product.
We did receive a demo of a new software product and kept contacting the company to say that we couldn't do a review of an incomplete product. They never got the message, so they never got the PR.
It's a matter of time (publication) vs. morals as well as the type of write up. Some places just give a summary of what the game is about rather than how good it is. In this case, you can write it up sight unseen.
And the reviewer is a SHE! Notice... I used she for manager and he for developer. I alternate as I don't like "their" or "he or she."

I am not a fan of Joel's. I respect his writing. Who he is has no influence over my review of the book and he didn't write the book.
