  1. What about NASA's high quality standards? on Russia Blames a Bad Sensor For Its Failed Soyuz Rocket Launch (wired.com) · · Score: 1

While NASA's high quality standards towards Boeing and SpaceX have been preventing American spacecraft from entering the manned spaceflight market for years, the agency does not seem to exercise the same high standards towards Russians.

As a result US astronauts are still forced to fly on older less than perfectly safe Russian spacecraft instead of newer and better (but not good enough for NASA) US spacecraft.

  2. Samsung and especially Google have started producing handsets that equal or surpass Apple's devices

Well, Samsung and Google are still copying Apple's devices (remember the notch), so I don't see any competition for Apple as long as Android devices have this second-rate feel to them. Not to mention the fact that Apple's phones still have the greatest hardware specs on the market.

  3. Re:Tesla is going bankrupt next week! Elon's a fra on SpaceX Is Planning To Launch a Falcon 9 For the Third Time (arstechnica.com) · · Score: 1

The way they put it in some Russian news outlets was "Due to their poor education system Americans are losing the ability to make rocket engines so they have to resort to using them many times", LOL.

  4. The Xiaomi phones are known to have very low profit margins

Not really, since Xiaomi posted a record gross margin for Q2 of more than 30% (Apple's margin for the same period was lower).

  5. The same specs

They do look the same, but in reality a phone's specs are not limited to the number of pixels or processor cores, so you should see the reviews.

  6. Why not ban it on Microplastics Found In Human Stools For the First Time (nytimes.com) · · Score: 1

Regulatory bodies should've banned non-biodegradable plastics a couple of years ago. Why are they still protracting the issue?

  7. What kind of decent manufacturer does it? on Samsung is Suing Its Brand Ambassador For Using an iPhone in Public (appleinsider.com) · · Score: 1

Paying famous people for using their products. That's a low for Samsung.
