Personally I think the RIAA needs to sit back and take what's coming to them. For to lomg they have been stealing money form artists, record lables, and comsumers. Radio stations actually have to pay to play music by members of the RIAA. This is the main medium on how they get their music to the public and they basically make the stations pay them to advertise their music. The RIAA is a middle man. What do they really do? take everyone's money. If a popular record label were to revoke it's membership and not charge a radio station "roalyties". You would hear that label's music more, and they would sell more records.
As for the sad story about the artists not getting money from their hard work and effort. The bands that are the most avid anti-filesharing are the ones who are least affected. As for the whole "stealing" part, well, earlier post said you could justify anything. what about the price-fixing for so many years? huh?
Even the article shows that the RIAA is using this as an excuse to icrease their power and revenue. File-sharers aren't theifs, It's the RIAA who is.
"The Justice Department demanded the right to approve before publication a study on physical abuse of college women," ~from the article
What does this have anything to do with homeland security?
I think they're getting a little paranoid if you ask me. This whole homeland security thing is based on fear. Isn't that what the terrorists want? To strike fear into the hearts of "non-belivers", make us panic and do stupid things like approving scientific studies before their released. that's censorship if you ask me. Everyone needs to calm down about all this "Osama's gonna get us" crap.
If that study is true, what's the point in living longer if I'm tired all the time?
that's what caffine is for
but I think I'd rather live less and feel better.
heh, yeah. I half expected a 'fin' at the end...
