Great place for all things electronic. Obviously the focus is more on radio, but there are quite a few beginner books. One recent one has a kit that can be purchased with it so you build learn electronics while building a radio.
Dice? Pshaw. I'll use the cut-out, numbered chits that came with my 1st edition boxed set!:)
Though the new system is solid and very playable, what I dislike is the layout of the new books. And not just AD&D either. It seems to be a common theme with all RPG references these days. The inordinate amount of space wasted with color illustrations and page-border doodle. I would rather more space be devoted to game ideas and information, and less to eye-candy illustrations.
Motorola seems to have lost interest in developing the PPC chip to it's fullest potential. If this mindset continues, Apple will have to swith to a different chip or fall too far behind to ever hope to recover. Perhaps the OSX on Intel is an ace in the hole, that Apple can play if it needs to. I Personally would really like to see Motorola and IBM continue developing the PPC architecture, if only to provide an alternative to the x86 architecture.
Doesn't an upgrade require that you have a previous version of the software installed? In the case of a shrink wrapped version of OSX purchased from Apple, you are getting a full version of the OS. The installation does not require a previous version to exist on the system.
Are you comfortable with one company in complete control of its market? All issues associated with "MS -vs- The World" aside, you are either "OK" with it, or you are not.
"Well, duh." Yeah, seems obvious but apparently it's not, based on all the time spent arguing over MS's quality of product.

This is not an upgrade.
It comes down to one question.

To be fair, the recommendation to "get a mac" was due to the fact that the Cube has no fan at all. It runs blissfully silent and quite cool.
