It seems that kazaalite.com is now using similar technology, because I cannot access it with Mozilla when pop-ups are disabled.
How frickin ironic can you get? The ONLY reason that kazaalite exists at all is that people were so annoyed at the advertising software embedded within Kazaa. Now we are forced to view popups in order to visit that site?
Pot. Kettle. Black. Screw you, kazaa lite!
A terrorist is one who engages in terrorism. Terrorism involves the intentional targeting of noncombatants, for the purpose of inciting terror. It doesn't matter what the cause.
Oh, I see. So nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a terrorist act?
but yet, I still see ads when I come to slashdot. This "news" is the kind of thing that I'd expect to appear in my inbox, uninvited, right next to the ads for Herbal Viagra.
Go ahead and mod me down...
This was mentioned above tangentially, but it bears repeating.
From the article:
In a recent Gartner G2 survey, 88 percent of respondents said they believed it legal to make copies of CDs for personal backup use while 77 percent felt they should be able to copy a CD for personal use in another device.
I really despise this type of meaningless poll. Is doesn't matter one whit whether people think it's legal to make backups of CD's. No amount of misinformation spread by the RIAA can change the fact that it is perfectly legal to make backups of CD's, and will be until the Disney senator gets our fair use rights taken away! I know I'm preaching to the chior here, but damn, people.
All this means is that 12 percent of Americans are ignorant about their rights.
It must have been difficult for you to do anything that requires a credit check, like purchasing a cell phone. I used to sell them for Verizon and I know that they simply will not process an app without a driver's license.
Actually, the person recieving the SMS has to pay. On my plan (Sprint PCS employee plan), I have 50 SMS messages included every month. After that, they incur a fee for each message recieved.

1. Spam hundreds of thousands of people. 2. Pay $100,000 3. Profit????
You mean ads aren't true? Someone get me the mayor!
The cost results from the smaller base of people that will opt-out, resulting in less information to sell to the whoremongers.

Do you have a state ID card at least?
