I beg to differ. I've been reading PvP for going on five years now, and I've never seen him miss a day, at least where it was his fault. He updates late some (most) days, yes, but doesn't miss.

Now, granted, the rules say that, if the day's comic isn't up by midnight PST, he's out, no matter the excuse.

Still, I think nobody in the contest can touch Chris Crosby. He's updated daily for six years without missing an update.

I'm going to find another service... etc...

I used to live near Jackson, TN. If someone thought they could get another ISP there that doesn't have "OL", "arthlink" or somesuch in the title, they've been on the tractor too long.

online comics can't be read in bed or on the shitter unless you print them out - and who's going to do that for one strip? online comics can't be collected. However, I am impressed that some comics like User Friendly, PvP, Dungeon (I think that's its name?), and others have been collected in trades and/or normal comics. It does show that some webcomic creators do have what it takes to make it in the world of "real comics."

Many online cartoonists have print collections, making them a very easy way to be collected, just as easy as newspaper strips. But, of course, you already said that.

The problem, they say, is teenagers who instant message their friends with their verdict on new films - sometimes while they are still in the cinema watching - and so scuppering carefully crafted marketing campaigns designed to lure audiences out to a big movie on its opening weekend.

I refuse to pity any filmmaker whose movie fails to hold a person's attention enough so that they don't fire off an IM during the movie.
