Come on people. A number of companies have been manufacturing Solid State disks for years. (Imperial Technology comes to mind). Where's the news in this. Is Slashdot into free advertising now ???
They should never have moved production out of Vancouver. The quality of the show went *way* downhill after that. Everyone appears to have lost interest - including the viewers!

Our first brush with Java 1.3 is that its even *better* than 1.2. In particular, Swing and 2D rendering (e.g. Grids) is much better in 1.3.
