So this information was probably leaked in breach of an NDA... my question is to any lawyers out there, is it illegal for a newspaper (or whatever) to print information that has knowingly been obtained from someone in breach of an NDA?
So i guess e-mail is encrypted and stored on Microsoft's own servers huh? How will people read this mail if not on a Windows machine with XP and the latest version of Office? Not only is this Microsoft trying sneak their Palladium crap through the back door, but also, imo, this is a monopolistic act far worse than bundling Explorer with their OS
If i have information i don't want other people seeing, i don't send it in an e-mail!
It was a sorta joke question, but IIRC John Draper used the whistles that were given away as free gifts in the Cap'n Crunch cereal for his 'activities'.
It would still be interesting to know if he still has that infamous whistle, and whether he'd be able to retire on the proceeds if it went up on eBay:)
forget this car-comparison crap, it's lame. I've been using macs since 1988, and PCs for about as long.
With 14 years of Mac use: number of times my computer has broken down : 0 amount of time spent on tech support sites, calls etc : 0 hours amount of time spent locating drivers, trying to get some damn peripheral to work etc : 0 hours amount of time spent looking in bemusement at cryptic error messages : 0 minutes
with 14 years of PC use: all of the above : about 500 hours + large increases in blood pressure
Brazil government saves money by using OSS. Money saved can be pumped into social problems (although it probably wouldn't be)

1. Wait for critical security patch from Microsoft (shouldn't take long)
2. Read up on exploit
3. ???
4. Get paid
The first videos seem to 404. Try this: http://www.planetinternet.be/pixel/clipfp1.avi (8.1mb)

Have you still got your original whistle? And if so, have you ever thought about putting it on eBay?
If software update doesn't show the new Safari, make sure the old one's in the root of your Applications folder, otherwise it won't recognise it.
You can. Simply hold down the command key when you pop the menu up, and it opens the search in a new tab.
Maybe a hierachial (sp?) menu feature here would be a slicker solution though...
probably about 40% when dealing with getting peripherals working etc... but to be honest i've only seen 2PCs ever actually break down mechanically.
