As for the russian passports, I'd love to have duel citizenship, it gives you more choices. It's not like she couldn't have gotten the passports after she "fled". The reason they are in Russia now and will not be coming back is that Nina was murdered, so they are being raised by their maternal grandparents instead of being orphans.

The lack of remorse that Reiser shows is a huge characteristic of both antisocial, and dissocial personality disorder, add in Hans noted lying, irritability, and the little violent act of murdering someone, and you have a "sociopath" (which is not a currently used medical diagnosis, but a lay term) .

Reiser is a sociopathic killer. He punched Nina in the face, and strangled her for "cavalierly" telling him that she intended to continue to bring their son to a doctor for his hearing problems. I don;t think their is any objective way to say "she was a bitch to him". I think he would think any reasonable woman would be a "bitch" to him.

    1) It closed many loopholes that allowed the warrentless wiretaps in the first place.

No it doesn't, these loopholes were NEVER legal, they were illegal, should be investigated, and will be until the president pardons everyone in six months. The illegality of these loopholes was upheld just last week by a federal judge appointed by Reagan (but confirmed during Bush 41's term)

    2) Requires further wiretaps to follow at least some process (process isn't perfect but its better than the lack of process before).

There was certainly a process before, it was handled by the Judicial branch of the government, now it is all handled by the Executive, with only the oversight of the Executive branch. In other words the foxes are guarding the henhouse.

  18. Foxes guard the henhouse, worse in every way. on Obama Losing Voters Over FISA Support · · Score: 5, Insightful

Unless you are comparing it to the statutes of the "Protect America Act" this law is significantly worse, and does nothing to protect our safety. But it is worse than the PAA, because the statutes of that law expire, which puts us back to the fine FISA act which was passed in 1975. There is nothing that this new law adds to the '75 FISA act which protects our safety. What it does is allows the Executive Branch full power to break the law as it sees fit, with the only oversight coming from the Executive Branch, this law would make the Watergate affair legal.

This was covered by an interview with a juror. She said the evidence pointing to premeditation was that Reiser stopped using his visa card, switching to cash only transactions in the weeks before the killing, as well as some pressure on a city councilwoman concerning his custody battle. While he may have given explanations for those, he pretty much lost the jury with the whole of his unbelievable testimony.

I've been on a San Francisco criminal jury, and there is no way you would find 12 people in this area where all 12 would convict of murder simply because "they didn't like the guy". These jurors live here, they all personally know plenty of asocial people, they probably like some of them even.
